ABOUT EUROCONF23

After 20 years the
15th Euroconference on Rock Physics and Rock Mechanics (EUROCONF23) will be held in the Netherlands again! Following the tradition from many previous, highly successful, Euroconferences we found a somewhat secluded location in a nice natural setting, to allow for maximum interaction and mingling between participants.

For this edition, we would like to take you to Woudschoten, a beautiful location in the woods in the centre of the Netherlands. We hope to see you in the flatlands from Monday 23 October to Thursday 26 October
.

Our Keynote Speakers

EPOS NL

EPOS-NL (European Plate Observing System – Netherlands) is a national project, with Utrecht University, Delft University of Technology, KNMI and TNO as partners. The aim is to improve the means for research into the deep subsurface.

Think about research into safe and sustainable subsurface use, for example for geothermal energy production, or CO2 or hydrogen storage. Or research aimed at improving early-warning systems for natural earthquakes, or volcanic eruptions.

To assist such research, EPOS-NL further develops research labs. Or state-of-the-art field monitoring at locations where our subsurface is actively used, for instance for geothermal energy production. We also provide free-of-charge access to research labs to researchers worldwide, and share data at through the European data portal of EPOS.

Interested? Have a look on our website (www.EPOS-NL.nl/).
